Love of Music for the Little Ones

Teaching music for children needs special skills, a certain approach and a passionate teacher. At Elite Music our primary goal is to help the little ones first develop a love for music. The idea is to both teach and entertain so that the music teacher first ”wins” the attention of the child.

In addition, a sense of accomplishment with easy to learn lessons creates the desire to play music even more. As such, children are introduced to easy songs many times learning it by ear. Everything is introduced and learned in a fun, relaxed environment encouraging singing all along.

Different songs and musical pieces are also introduced so that an appreciation of diverse musical styles can be slowly imparted in their young minds.

Music recitals are also scheduled throughout the year. The idea is to have a goal, meet and make friends on those special events and show their accomplishments in front of parents, siblings and friends. Small victories in terms of learning and performing a piece can sustain the interest of a child and grow the love for music.

On that note and recognizing the importance of such events, Elite Music Academy has already scheduled a number of mini recitals, often called “showcases” for children and youth for the year 2010- 2011.
