Singing from the Soul

So we are beginning to think about getting back into the groove of some learning, achieving goals, and improving now that the end of summer is quickly arriving (sad but true : ) But it’s a good thing! Why not get back into your dreams and passion, with some Singing from the Soul! This is probably one of the most important things that a Singer can do!

It’s starts, with a love, passion, and belief in what you are doing and singing, to truly achieve that “real, and unique sound” that everyone appreciates! Yes! Technique can do Wonders for a vocalist, but if they aren’t being true to what they sing, and the passion within their soul, then it’s almost like… no matter what… it just isn’t gonna come out attractive, confident, professional, or have that humanness that every listener yearns for! A singer is dispersing seeds of stories, wisdom, advice and experiences through their lyrics, in a beautiful attractive, melodic way. You have to believe and be passionate in what you are singing about, otherwise…. I would suggest, sing something else… or just don’t bother doing it! Your stage presence and persona, while singing, also spreads a message, so that is definitely can be even more important than the lyrics. And THAT is the the key to at least turn on a cars engine, now learning how to drive it well, … that’s where technique comes in. But it starts with the heart!

#1 rule Have Fun, and know your goals, then make sure you are open to letting someone experienced help guide you with some pointers, and then PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! Hopefully the desire to improve, will come out naturally, if you really DO want to improve your singing. Let’s get back into the groove with some ” Soul Singing”- ignite the fire within : )
