Lucas SavattiStill early in his musical career, Lucas has already made many achievements during his development as an emerging bassist in Toronto. He attended North Toronto Collegiate Institute, where he played bass for the National-Finalist Symphony Orchestra, and graduated as the recipient of the Jack Dow Music Scholarship. He is currently studying jazz bass at Humber College, and is entering his final year of study with scholarship.

Lucas is truly well versed in all musical styles, and has played in everything from jazz to reggae bands. He has over 10 years of experience playing the electric bass, 7 playing the guitar and double bass, and has already had the opportunity to study with some of the premier bass players in Canada and the world, including: Mike Downes, Neil Swainson, Roberto Occhipinti, Mike McClennan, and Kieran Overs.

Lucas’s adaptive teaching style ensures that the unique needs of all students are met, and that every student is given an enriching musical experience that both caters to their musical preferences, and broadens their understanding of music through the study of diverse genres. While the fundamentals of music and theory are emphasized, Lucas ensures that these remain practical to the student, and that a patient, yet challenging environment is created for students of all ages.
