Jason Clendining (Sax/Flute/Clarinet)
Jason was born in Auckland, New Zealand and raised in Sydney Australia. He started playing clarinet at age 11, and saxophone in the high school big band at 14. During this period he remained mostly self taught and enjoyed playing in the many ensembles that his school offered. After graduating from school he relocated to study music at the University of Tasmania and graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts with honors. During his time at University, he was a reservist in the Royal Australian Navy as a musician. After university, he did a two year stint in Sydney Australia, as a full time musician, teaching saxophone, flute and clarinet. He is now looking forward to continuing his music career here in Toronto at Elite Music Academy.
