Pete Eichstedt (Percussion)
Pete Eichstedt was born on Oct 6th, 1977. He began playing drums at the age of 16 and after only two years he found work with his original project playing on and writing for the band’s album. After four years of being self-taught he started studying at the Ontario College of Percussion and Music and within two years he found himself in club bands playing various styles including Country, Rock, R&B, and Funk. During the same period Pete had the opportunity to cut his teeth in the studio playing for various artists.
Over the last five years Pete has played over 750 gigs and has performed on countless albums for artists such as Kate Rogers (The Kate Rogers Band), Bryan Crouch (of Hail the Villain), Miranda Mulholland (The Great Lake Swimmers, The Roaring Girl Cabaret), Graffiti Park (top 40). As an instructor, Pete is currently teaching the drummer from Done With Dolls (produced by Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk).
Pete has been an instructor since 2003 and although technique is of utmost importance, so is fun!! With a healthy combination of both he has developed a great teaching approach for all ages.
